The east Chamber presents its compliments; this is to inform you that we received a letter of the Ministry of Trade and Industry No. (267/9/2/5339 /ع) dated (07/30/1435), containing the decision of the Minister of Commerce and Industry No. (673) dated (13/7 /1435) as infant formula of foodstuffs subject to the provisions of the rules of the organization cooking.
The decision was made by the Minister of Commerce and Industry No. (722) dated (07/29/1435) including the following: -
First, infant formula is subject to the provisions of the rules of the organization cooking in extraordinary circumstances.
Second, decide the price of infant formula in outlets as follows:
1 - determines the selling price of a kilogram of infant formula not to exceed (72.5) Seventy-two riyals and fifty Halalas Containers weighing 400 grams or less.
2 - Determines the selling price of a kilogram infant formula, including not more than (70) seventy riyals containers weighing more than 400 grams.
3 - Determine the prices of infant formula containers percentage of the price of a kilogram, according to their weights.
4 - Excluded from this decision infant formula products, which are used to treat medical conditions.
Third, the current weights prevents change or stop or reduce the market supply them.
Fourth, on each product or importer of infant formula a commitment to price printed from the country of origin on the packaging are directly visible and prominent to the consumer and what cannot be removed.
Fifth: overcome all administrative barriers and regulatory limit import infant formula products subject to the provisions of this resolution.
Sixth: give institutions and companies producing and importing out (15) fifteen days to implement the provisions of clause (ii) of this resolution, and until the date (1 Muharram 1436) to implement the provisions of clause (iv) of this resolution.
Seventh: This decision from the date of publication, and is for those who needed to be implemented.
